Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge is an American actress. Her first role was an actress in the teen-oriented films Big Fat Liar (2006) and She's the Man (2006). Later, she played the character of reporter Willa McPherson in the FX series Dirt. Also, she played a supporting part in FX's short-lived drama The Ex List. In the very first season she starred in the role of Moira O'Hara, an untried Moira and in the second season she was Kaylee. Jessie Anderson was the character in the AMC series The Walking Dead. Sophie played the role of Sophie in the NBC show This Is Us. She has voiced various characters in the show Family Guy, an animated comedy. Since 2019she has appeared in the role of Melinda "Mel" Monroe in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was born in Darien in Connecticut. She moved to California with her mother when she was of 10. They lived in various places for a year before eventually moving to Mill Valley. Breckenridge became fascinated by photography, acting, and singing at age 13. She relocated to Los Angeles with her mother when she was 15 years old, to pursue a career in acting.
