Scarlett Johansson, American actress (born on November 22nd, 1985, in New York City New York) is well-known for her abilities to perform across genres such as period dramas to thrillers to action adventures. Johansson was born in New York City, and raised there by her father, an architect, and mother who produced. She was the twin sister of Hunter and her were among the youngest of siblings. At a very young age she began to develop a passion for acting. She began auditioning commercials at the age of seven. In a brief time span, she began studying at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. In the years following, the Professional Children's School was opened in Manhattan. In the age of eight, she starred together with Ethan Hawke in the Off-Broadway production Sophistry and, at the age of nine she made her film debut with Rob Reiner's North (1994). Johansson later appeared on screen in Just Cause (1995) but her breakthrough was Manny & Lo (1996) a coming-of-age film about orphaned sisters who run away. The Horse Whisperer (2000) the film in which she played an teen with a defect because of an accident earned the film critical acclaim. Then in Ghost World 2001 (as the teenager who is a cynical outcast Rebecca) Johansson was awarded even more recognition. She is best known for her role as Nell Jones from the CBS sensation NCIS Los Angeles. She's among the major characters. Alongside her part in the show, she also worked as an actor on stage for a number of years. She is known for her exceptional performance in plays such as Wildflower. Renee Felice Smith began her path into the world of entertainment in the early years of her life. At the age of a young girl, she was attracted to acting. Smith's parents helped her with getting her first role in the acting world when she was just six. In a television commercial, she starred as Dannon Yogurt. Like numerous young actresses, she began her stage career. While she made her on-stage debut with Wildflower she also worked with various theatre projects in the USA. She was a student at the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
